Hosts Jamaica will attempt to cement a semi-final spot tonight when they face Cayman Islands in the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation Group D Men’s World Championship qualifiers.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the National Indoor Sports Centre and is the final match in the preliminary round.

The Jamaicans easily defeated Haiti in straight sets on Wednesday night to win their opening Pool ‘A’ game and are highly fancied to qualify.

Mexico will take on St Lucia in a Pool ‘B’ game, beginning at 5 p.m.

The semi-finals will be played tomorrow, with the final and third place play-offs scheduled for Sunday.

The two top teams will advance to the third round of World Championship qualifiers, which will be hosted by either Puerto Rico or Cuba from July 8 to 12.
