Deccan Chargers, replying to the Delhi Daredevils total of 158 for eight, were well placed at 102 for three off 10 overs in the first semi-final of the Indian Premier League at Centurion Park in South Africa.



Adam Gilchrist has so far top scored with 85 off 35 balls.



Earlier, Tillakaratne Dilshan struck 65 and captain Virender Sehwag added 39 to rally the Delhi Daredevils to 153-8 off their allotted 20 overs despite losing two wickets for no runs in the first over



Dilshan hit seven boundaries and a six in 51 balls before he was run out in the last over.



The 32 year old Sri Lanka right-hander shared an 85 run partnership for the third wicket with Sehwag, 39 off 31 balls, to lead Delhi\'s recovery.



Medium pacer Ryan Harris was the most successful bowler for Deccan with figures of 3 for 27 in four overs.
