Trinidad and Tobago will be among the 12 teams taking part in the Champions’ League Twenty/Twenty championship later this year.

Confirmation came yesterday that the regional Twenty/Twenty champions would be part of the competition from October 8 to 23 in India.

Prize money for the tournament will be US$6 million and the draw will be held in London on June 23.

Teams from the top eight Test-playing nations, except Pakistan, will take part in the competition, which features 23 matches.

The teams will be divided into four groups of three each to play on a league basis before the top two teams from each group move on to the second stage.

The four top teams will then play the semifinals.
