England thrash West Indies again

England continued their domination of West Indies today with an easy 58 run victory in the final one day international at Edgbaston to take the series 2-0.



Put into bat on a slow wicket, England produced a superb batting display to record their third highest total in a 50 over international of 328 for seven.



Matt Prior top scored for England with 87 off 86 balls, Owais Shaw made 75 off 65 while captain Andrew Strauss chipped in with 52 and Ravi Bopara got 49.



Jerome Taylor was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, taking 3 for 59. Keiron Pollard supported with two for 63.



Needing 329 to win, West Indies were bowled out for 270 with two balls to spare. Shivnarine Chanderpaul top scored for the visitors with 68 from 108 balls.



Denesh Ramdin was the next best scorer with 45 off 48 balls, while Dwayne Bravo slammed 26 off 28 balls.



James Anderson led the England bowling attack with three for 58 while Stuart Broad had two for 63.
