Obama announces cyber security plan

US President Barack Obama has announced plans to secure American computer networks against cyber attacks.



He says America\'s digital infrastructure will be treated as a strategic national asset.



Mr Obama says a cyber security office will be created in the White House, which will be overseen by a cyber tsar whom he will appoint.



In recent years, both the US Government and military bodies have reported repeated interference from hackers into their computer systems.



Mr Obama says protecting America\'s digital infrastructure, the networks and computers will be a national security priority.
