Hinds slams 43

Jamaican Wavell Hinds slammed a run-a-ball 43, but Derbyshire lost by eight wickets to Yorkshire in their North Division Twenty/Twenty Cup game at Chesterfield in England yesterday.



Derbyshire batting first were restricted to 131 for six off their allotted 20 overs with Hinds making the top score.



Needing 132 for victory, Andrew Gale scored an unbeaten 79 as the visitors secured the win with 23 balls to spare. They ended on 134 for two.



In another match, Durham with Jamaican Gareth Breese beat Nottinghamshire by eight wickets at Riverside to move off the bottom of the North Division table.



Durham piled up a decent-looking 177 for four and then bowled out Nottinghamshire for 169 with two balls to spare.



Breese, who did not bat, bowled three overs for 37 runs. Mitch Claydon was the most successful bowler for Durham with five for 26 off 3.4 overs.
