Bolt and Gay won\'t meet before July

World record holder Usain Bolt has expressed his desire to meet world 100 meters champion Tyson Gay. It however seem as though Bolt will have to wait until July, as Gay has decided not to complete in Sunday\'s Prefontaine Classic and likely will not run again until the U.S. championship in late June, according to Gene Cherry of Reuters.

Gay\'s agent Mark Wetmore believes it was \"slightly unrealistic to think that Gay could recover that fast, after clocking 19.58 seconds, the third fastest 200 meters of all-time, at last weekend\'s New York grand prix. There is absolutely no injury. Gay probably will not run again until the June 25-28 U.S. nationals in Eugene.

\"I definitely want to meet Tyson before, to see where I\'m at or what I need to do if he beats me. He shook off some injuries, took his time and got back on track and worked his way back up and he is now showing that he is one of the best athletes in the world,\" Bolt told Reuters in Jamaica.
