St. Lucia customs controller questions transfer

St Lucia\'s outgoing Customs Controller, Terence Leonard is raising concerns about his transfer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



Mr. Leonard has been transferred to the post of Director of Trade Facilitation in that ministry.



He has since sought the intervention of the St. Lucia Civil Service Association (CSA), which he wants to write to the government asking for the reasons for the transfer.



Both the country\'s opposition and the CSA have criticised the decision, alleging victimisation because Mr. Leonard was a key figure in ongoing customs issues involving two government ministers.
