Energy ministers meet in St Kitts

Energy ministers from Latin America and the Caribbean are meeting today in St. Kitts to prepare for tomorrow’s PetroCaribe Summit.
Dr Earl Asim Martin, the Energy Minister for St Kitts will chair the ministerial meeting.
He said representatives of the 18 member countries will review their current quotas of fuel related to the joint oil agreement with supplier Venezuela.
According to Dr Martin, they will also examine how the agreement can be improved to help the current economic and social needs of members.
He said discussions will introduce issues to be covered in tomorrow’s summit.
The Petro Caribe Summit will ratify agreements from today’s meeting.
