Simpson Miller: We will be strong, we will be vigilant

Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller has cautioned members of the government 'not to get very comfortable,' as she addressed the House of Representatives from Opposition benches.
She pledged that the Opposition she leads will be a constructive one.
"We will be strong, we will be vigilant, we will be firm but we will do so in a manner that contributes to the building of Jamaica," charged the 70 year-old.
Simpson Miller said while the Jamaica Labour Party is not her preferred government, there will be respect for the decision of electors.
"Win, lose or draw, I would not trade democracy for anything else. The people of Jamaica have spoken," she said.
This is the second time Simpson Miller will be Opposition Leader.
At the start of her first stint in 2007, she pledged to be a nightmare to the then Prime Minister Bruce Golding.
