Lewd and loud music

Open letter to Minister Horace Chang

Please have the sound system at or beside 36 Molynes Road (the club upstairs and the bar downstairs) in the Kingston 20 area cease and desist from contaminating the area with loud and very obscene music.

It affects the church, those who live in the neighbourhood, and the students and working people who walk along Molynes Road in the afternoon and at night.

Why are these people allowed to operate? It is a disgrace, especially since the adjoining restaurant seems very popular with police officers. All we seem to get is lip service about protecting children, yet there is no serious effort when it comes to protecting them from influences that distract them from their lessons.

This place is a nuisance and should be shut down. Why have they been given a licence to operate right in front of a church that has been there for over 100 years?

Hypocrites or not, the Church caters to wholesome values. The bar and the club, judging from the lyrical content that they loudly spew, promote exactly the opposite and are a nuisance. At least muzzle them, please.
