CG2022 | Thompson-Herah completes sprint double with 200m victory

Jamaica;s Elaine Thompson-Herah completed the sprint double at the Commonwealth Games after winning in the 200 metres in a new meet record in Birmingham, England on Saturday.
Thompson-Herah flew from the blocks as she led from the start, to finish in a games' record time of 22.02 seconds.
Nigeria's Favour Ofili was second in 22.51 seconds while third went to Christine Mboma of Kenya in 22.80.
Jamaica's other competitor in the event Natalliah Whyte was fourth in 23.06 seconds.
