Congrats to Gleaner photographers

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I wish to tender my congratulations to two former Gleaner co-workers of mine who were both awarded national honours on Monday. I speak of Ian Allen and Rudolph Brown – both news photographers of the highest calibre. They were both awarded the Badge of Honour for Meritorious Service in the field of journalism.

It was my privilege to have worked with both gentlemen for 18 years as a Gleaner journalist. I found them to be diligent professionals with a high commitment to excellence. They were not just professional colleagues, but all-round good friends. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours. I do look forward to seeing them both receiving a more distinguished national honour before long.
