Stocks Round Up | Sterling Investments USD today's top winner, CAC 2000 leads decliners

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Combined Index clawed back lost ground on Wednesday.

The again busy trading ended with an advance/decline ratio of 52/31.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 5,874.53 points or 1.39 per cent to close at 427,844.60.

The JSE Main Market Index was up 6,000.74 points or 1.43 per cent to close at 425,564.15 while the Junior Market Index advanced 32.15 points or 0.96 per cent to close at 3,370.59.

The JSE USD Equities Index advanced 0.94 points or 0.49 per cent, closing at 194.72

CAC 2000 down 11.32 per cent to close at $10.73
QWI Investments down 9.69 per cent to close at $0.84
Salada Foods down 5.82 per cent to close at $7.77
First Rock Capital USD down 5.74 per cent closing at US$0.07
Caribbean Flavours down 4.65 per cent closing at $2.05

Market volume

Some 19 million units valued at over $184.89 million were traded today.

Volume leaders were Sagicor Select-Financial followed by MailPac and Wigton.
