Hickey Police – House Clerk threatens to immediately send home parliamentary staff who turn up with love bites.
Is that legal? How can you prove they are hickeys? – @kullijhan
I find the action of hickeys so juvenile for supposedly professionals. The memo was internal as it should be how it reach the media is another question. Let your private life remain private a hickey is advertising what you were supposedly engaged in privately. – @peterru46144699
We live in a generation where we continuously major in the minor. Professionalism can be taught, trained and so on, these things can be ironed out in private. I’m certain not all persons walk in the office with ‘hickey’, so the appropriate thing to do is speak with the person. – @SeanReid90210
She’s one of my favourite public servants. Her no nonsense persona is exactly who she is and she stands on business. – @TitanyaTC
What does that have to do with the people doing their work? – @mcknz02
So pregnant woman going to have disciplinary actions too if she becomes nauseous or tummy swells? Because it’s literally the same activity engaged in that gives the visible results. The jokes write themselves. – @ncbwyatown
Agreed. The hickeys should be concealed. Employees should not have them on public display especially in a professional environment! – @Ada0913Mat87292
The way things are now, the only thing that is left is for the act to be done in public. Morality done wid! – @BettyJa77533964
No sah?! Then a wah cuda cause dis? Is how many persons walking around with hickeys so that would demand such a warning? Jamaicans are hilarious. – @sweetjarose
Honestly ... Jamaica needs to stop majoring in the minor. – @marcgayle
I wonder how prevalent this must have been to require an official memo? – @Krismichar
So should we increase the birthrate or not? Why are people being shamed for engaging in child making activities? – @KimbelleBeauty
Going into a professional setting with hickeys is crazy though ... but how will they be able to prove that that’s what it is? – @summersltt
This may not be a popular opinion but walking around with visible hickeys is unprofessional and actually cringy. So many private places where those things can go if necessary. – @Spocaccino
