New York Fashion Week wrapped on Sunday with Jamaican designer Rachel Scott at the forefront. The Brooklyn-based designer bookended the Fall 2026 ready-to-wear previews of more than 60 shows and presentations, first with her debut at Proenza Schouler last Wednesday, then with her own brand, Diotima. For Diotima’s runway show, titled ‘Femme Cheval’ and held at 111 Broadway in Manhattan, Scott presented a 34-look collection inspired by the late Afro-Cuban artist Wifredo Lam. The show featured Jamaican models Naki Depass, Tami Williams, and Romae Gordon, while sprint icon Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce added star power from the front row. Something Extra goes backstage and on the catwalk at Diotima.
