Continuing their legacy, the First Heritage Credit Union Foundation partnered with the Jamaica Reading Association for the fourth year to encourage reading and improve literacy in 25 schools across the island through a weeklong series of events.
This association has also developed into a movement that uses literacy as a tool to teach morals and values to children. This was achieved this year with the assistance of Magnus the Mongoose Meets New Friends, an adventure novel by Jamaican author and animator Alison Latchman.
