Just over J$14 million has been allocated this year to strengthen the institutional and regulatory framework of the fast-growing ICT-Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.
The allocation is included in the 2016-2017 Estimates of Expenditure tabled in Parliament by Finance Minister Audley Shaw.
The funding will be used to develop a national ICT-BPO policy, prepare a progress report on the performance of the sector to date and to design a public education campaign for the industry.
