The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) wants the government to roll back the tax package.
According to Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller prosperity has been delayed by the $13.52-billion tax package.
In a statement this morning, the PNP said the package is unconscionable and a betrayal of the trust of the Jamaica people.
Simpson Miller is pleading with the Government to reverse what she calls the unbearable tax package saying only then will Jamaicans truly begin to receive a tax break.
Yesterday, the Opposition spokesman on Finance Dr Peter Phillips called the tax package devastating.
