Bike collision in Westmoreland, both motorcyclists dead

A two-bike collision has claimed the lives of two persons in Whithorn, Westmoreland.

Dead are 17-year-old Ordaine Brooks of River Head and 23-year-old Anthony Hamilton of Shrewsbury in the parish.

Reports are that the motorcycles driven by Brooks and Hamilton were travelling in opposite directions about 5:30 yesterday afternoon along the Black Ants main road in Shrewsbury when they collided.

Both men sustained injuries and were taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
