The education ministry says the board of directors for Ferncourt High School in St Ann is to decide what disciplinary action will be taken following an incident on Thursday that left two students hospitalised with stab wounds.

This as both the education ministry and police are investigating the incident.

According to reports, the two male students, ages 14 and 16 years old, were stabbed during an altercation at the institution.

There has been no detail on what caused the incident, but according to the education ministry, it stems from an ongoing dispute between the two teens.

The education ministry says counselling will be provided for students traumatised by the incident and appealed to students to find peaceful ways to resolve their conflicts.
