The Meteorological Service says there is a deep trough in the vicinity of Jamaica that will continue to influence weather conditions across the island for at least another two days.
The Met Service says the forecast is for periods of light to moderate showers that could turn into thunderstorms across the island this evening.
It says the rains could continue through to Monday.
"Sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms due to gusty winds. Fishers and other marine interest should exercise caution," the Met Service warned.
