Bernard Headley, the scholar dies at 72

Former criminology professor at the University of the West Indies, Bernard Headley, has died, at the age of 72.

Headley died of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis on Friday.

He was a former Gleaner columnist and was also professor of sociology at North-eastern Illinois University in the United States of America.

His son Zachary, described him as very helpful to the underprivileged of society.

Headley’s latest article, was published in yesterday’s Gleaner, entitled, 'I could have been among PM Theresa May’s disinherited (Part Two)'.
