Crash causes traffic jam along Spur Tree Hill main road

Police and firefighters are now at the scene of a two-vehicle crash that occurred along the main road in Spur Tree Hill, Manchester a short time ago.
There are unconfirmed reports that one person has died.
There are reports, too, that the crash has caused a pile-up of traffic along the busy thoroughfare.
The Constabulary Communications Unit, the police information arm, said it is aware of the collision, but said no details are available at this time.
Pictures sent to our newsroom from motorists indicate that the crash involved a truck hauling concrete mix and a motor car.
One of the pictures appears to show that the car was crushed by the truck.
