Two dead, four injured after car ploughs into crowd
The police are now searching for the driver of a motorcar that ploughed into a group of persons in downtown Kingston last night leaving two dead and four injured.
Those killed have been identified as 17-year-old Shanedee Farquharson and 29-year-old Tarick Dawkins, both of Kingston 8 addresses.
The police report that shortly after 11p.m. the driver of the motorcar lost control of the vehicle before it crashed into the group of persons standing near the roadway in the vicinity of East Heroes Circle and Regent Street.
Farquharson and Dawkins succumbed to their injuries while the other were hospitalised in serious but stable condition.
The police say the motor car was later found crashed along Smith Lane, also in downtown Kingston.
The Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU), in a statement today, said Investigators are searching for the owners.
The police are also appealing to the person who was driving the car to turn himself in at the Allman Town Police Station immediately.
In addition, they are asking anyone with information that can assist investigators to call detectives at 876-922-2842, police emergency number 119 or the nearest police station.
