St James teen charged for shooting at motorist in Salt Spring
The police have charged a 19-year-old man for shooting at a motorists along the Salt Spring main road in St James in January.
He has been identified as Phillip Sterling, from the community of Meggie Top in Salt Spring.
The police report that about 7:50 p.m. on January 21, a man was driving his motor vehicle when Sterling allegedly emerged from behind a wall and opened fire at the vehicle.
The driver escaped injuries and reported the incident to the police.
An investigation was launched and Sterling was arrested.
He has been charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm with intent to injure.
Sterling's court date is being finalised, the police said Saturday.
