Rifles, 32 rounds of ammunition found at abandoned shop in Granville, St James

The police in St James this morning seized two high-powered rifles, two magazines and thirty-two 5.56mm rounds of ammunition during a targeted raid in Top Gordon Crescent in Granville.

They report that about 11:20 a.m., lawmen searched a structure where the firearms were found on the roof of an abandoned shop.

One person was taken into custody in relation to the seizure.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
