St Catherine man charged after allegedly threatening woman with a gun
Several charges have been laid against 30-year-old Colin Nosworthy, otherwise called ‘Marley’, following an incident in his community of Gregory Park, St Catherine, in which he is alleged to have grabbed a woman by her neck, while threatening to kill her with a gun.
Nosworthy, who is a gas distributor, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, assault at common law, unlawful wounding, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The Caymanas police say about 2:00 p.m. on April 2, a woman and her relative had a dispute during which Nosworthy intervened.
He reportedly grabbed the woman by her neck, pulled a firearm from his waistband, pointed it at her, and threatened to kill her.
Passersby who witnessed the altercation assisted the woman to the police station, where a report was made.
Nosworthy was later arrested during a targeted operation and was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
