Outstanding June pension payments to be completed by Friday
The Accountant General’s Department is reporting that efforts are being made to complete June payments for pensioners by this Friday.
There were complaints by pensioners about non-payment.
In a statement Wednesday, the department indicated that the life certificates for approximately 82 pensioners were not automatically uploaded due to a technical processing error.
To address this, the processing of advanced payments commenced on Monday, June 30, with a completion pay date of Friday, July 4.
The department says it is contacting the pensioners involved to inform them of the issue and advise them of the expected resolution timeline.
