'Major high-risk target’ among three men fatally shot in alleged police confrontation in Westmoreland
A wanted man described by the police as a major high-risk target was among three men fatally shot by cops today during an alleged shoot-out in the community of Cornwall Mountain, Westmoreland.
He has been identified as Delano Leslie, also known as 'Crazy'.
According to the police, two pistols were seized during the operation, which was carried out by members of the Area 1 Fugitive Apprehension Team.
The police said Leslie was wanted in connection with several serious offences, including the murder of Joshua Richards in Johnson Town, Hanover in December 2023, and the murder of Dwayne Ottey, also called 'Sparrow', in Mackfield, Westmoreland in May 2024.
He was also being sought in relation to two separate incidents in which police came under gunfire in the Cornwall Mountain area—one in March 2025 and another in September 2025.
