Monday Club surpise birthday

Commencing 2016 in the true sense of brotherhood, businessmen in western Jamaica hosted their first Monday Club for the New Year at the Coral Gardens residence of Exclusive Holiday's Fred Smith last Monday evening (January 25).
The male only net workers, was made up of some of the biggest names in the financial sector, tourism and trade who turned out for the event, which usually allows women access once per year.
However, Monday night was extra special and the female species were awarded a unique pass to celebrate a surprise birthday soiree in honour of member - Montego Bay attorney at law, Clayton Morgan.
The renowned lawyer, who has held the position of president of the prestigious Cornwall Bar Association, in addition to playing the role of chairman of the People's National Party region six, was shocked to see his wife Doris, who was there specifically to help him cut his cake.
It was the idea of his long-time friend Fred Smith, who ordered the cake and invited a number of women to help balance the evening.
"Clayton is a true friend, he would do the same for me, so even while we don't allow women at our Monday Club events, this was a special occasion," said Smith.
Monday Club is hosted monthly by the various entities, which were responsible for its formation over each month. The corporate groups involved include, Exclusive Holidays/Tropical Tours, National Commercial Bank, Scotiabank, Sagicor, and First Global Bank.
