Shalisha Stewart is statuesque and perfectly poised in palazzo pants from the collection. A fashion piece that the sunny, cheerful climate of the Caribbean calls for, the palazzo is a must-have wardrobe item, given its versatility and comfort. The flowy, wide-legged pants can be chic and elegant in the boardroom, as well as cool and casual on the beach.

Pulse model, Shalisha Stewart, is the muse of choice for the exciting, newly launched designer collection, Shomathelable by Shoma Persaud. Both from Trinidad and Tobago, the designer and model collaborated to produce a fashion story inspired by the old country, as well as the carnival masquerade for which the twin-island republic is known. “What I love about the collection is how accessible it is. I love the florals and free form and the room to move in the pieces, they make me feel like a beautiful woman, empowered by Caribbean energy,” Stewart said. With her international experience working for European brands, including Hermès, Esprit and Études, Stewart feels it is vital to encourage young Caribbean designers. “I am happy to support new talent, and I am excited to be part of the brand’s beginning,” she said.
