Hansle Parchment, the London Games 110m hurdles bronze medallist, is now an Olympic champion.

Parchment upset world leader Grant Holloway of the USA in the final in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday morning.

He clocked a season's best 13.04 seconds to ensure Jamaica wins a second consecutive gold medal in the event, after Omar McLeod's feat at the Rio Games in 2016.

Holloway took the silver in 13.09s while national champion Ronald Levy claimed the bronze medal in 13.10s.

Jamaica's medal count now stands at a total of seven, consisting of three gold, one silver, and three bronze.
