The Manning's School goal keeper Mikhail Romans (left) is swarmed by his teamates after his heroics help them defeat Dinthill Technical High School in an ISSA daCosta Cup semi-final penalty shootout at the STETHS Sports Complex on Wednesday January 12, 2022. Manning's won the shootout 4-2 after a 1-1 regular time draw.

The second oldest school in Jamaica, The Manning's School, will be making its first appearance in the ISSA daCosta Cup final, the second-oldest schoolboy football competition on the island, after a 4-2 penalty win over Dinthill Technical High School at the STETHS Sports Complex earlier today.

Manning's, playing in their first semi-final, were the more aggressive team and opened the scoring in the 55th minute through Jahmaleek Porter's header. But Dinthill, who had the better of play after that, returned fire in the 83rd minute through Shamair Hutchinson to send the game to penalties.

Mannings will play either Garvey Maceo High School or Clarendon College, who are playing in the second semi-final of a double-header at STETHS.
