CHAMPS 2022 | Morris lays down the gauntlet in Class Two discus

Edwin Allen's Shamoyea Morris on her way to qualifying for the girls' Class Two discus final at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium today.

Edwin Allen's Shamoyea Morris heaved the discus to 40.19 metres to record the longest throw in the preliminary round of the Class Two event at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships today.

Morris' mark is almost two metres ahead of Immaculate's Maja Henry 38.70.

The other main qualifiers for the finals are Clarendon College's Athilia Pryce (38.57m), Najhada Seymour of Excelsior (37.90m), Natassia Burrell from Hydel (37.31m)and Calra-Kay Brown of Clarendon College (35.19m).
