St Jago's Jamora Alves raises the finger in celebration of winning the girls' Class One javelin at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium earlier today

St Jago's Jamora Alves captured her second gold medal at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships on at the National Stadium earlier today.

The Grenada-born Alves won the javelin open with a mark of 40.30 metres. She also won the gold medal in the girls Class One discus on Wednesday.

Edwin Allen's Monifa Edwards took home the silver medal with a throw of 38.90m while Natalie Albert of St Catherine claimed the bronze with a mark of 37.14.

A few minutes later, Alexia Williams won yet another gold medal for St Jago when she captured the girls' Class Four long jump with a mark of 5.36 metres. Hydel's Sashana Johnson was second with a leap of 5.27, while third went to Edwin Allen's Yasheika Sinclair with 5.23.
