Doha 2019 silver medallist Fedrick Dacres finished ninth in the final of the Men's Discus Throw at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Tuesday evening.

Dacres, while battling through injuries, threw 64.85m, while national champion Traves Smikle finished 12th in the field with a best effort of 62.23m.

Slovenia’s Kristjan Čeh set a championship record of 71.13m, while the Lithuanian duo of Mykolas Alekna (69.27m), and Andrius Gudžius (67.55m) secured the silver and bronze medals respectively.
