Jamaica’s duo of national record holder Lamara Distin and national champion Kimberly Williamson failed to make the podium in the final of the Women’s High Jump at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Tuesday evening.

Distin, who is also the reigning NACAC Champion, could not clear the bar higher than at 1.93m, which placed her ninth.

Williamson managed a best effort of 1.89, which saw her finishing 11th in the 12-woman field.
