World U-20 | McAnnuff struggles to sixth in semis to end bid in women’s 400mh
Jamaica’s Oneika McAnnuff failed to progress to the final of the women’s 400 metres hurdles on Wednesday, after finishing sixth in heat three of the semi-finals at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia.
McAnnuff, who ran a personal best of 57.68 seconds at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium in April, struggled throughout the race and failed to challenge at any time.
She completed the distance in 59.74 seconds with Michaela Rose of the United States of America taking the event in 57.83 as Poland’s Wiktoria Oko got the second automatic spot from the semi-finals’ heat, by clocking 58.28.
