Kiera Meikle of Holmwood was in record-breaking form today at the Central Athletics Championships at GC Foster College, clocking 13.16 seconds to win the Class II girls’ 100 metres hurdles to add to the 100 metres title she claimed yesterday.

Meikle broke the previous record of 13.21 seconds, set by former Hydel hurdler Kerrica Hill last year.

Yesterday, Meikle finished ahead of Hydel’s Camoy Binger, who finished with an identical time to collect the silver medal.
