Hydel girls sweep 200 metres at Central Champs

Led by Under-20 World Championships bronze medallist Alana Reid, Hydel had a clean sweep in the 200 metres at the Central Athletic Championships at GC Foster College today.

Reid won the Class I girls’ 200 metres in 22.83 seconds, running in a positive wind reading of 4.2 metres per second to claim the sprint double.

Hydel also won the Class II girls 200 metres, with Shemonique Hazle winning in 24.17 seconds, while Onetta Mitchell took Class III in 24.85 and Teixiera Johnson Class IV in 24.95.
