Reigning World Championship silver medallist Shericka Jackson leads all qualifiers to the women's 100 metres semi-finals at the National Senior and Junior Championships at the National Stadium tonight.
A composed Jackson ran 10.99 seconds to win heat one of the event, with Alana Reid also safely through as she stopped the clock at 11.14 in heat two.
The experienced Natasha Morrison also looked smooth in qualification as she crossed the tape in 11.00 seconds to take heat three.
In the final heat, double Olympic Games double sprint champion Elaine Thompson Herah, who has endured an injury-plagued season, qualified with the third fastest time in a season’s best of 11.15 seconds.
