Music for Life!

Published:Sunday | May 16, 2010 | 12:00 AM

The second staging of Music for Life will be held at The Gardens, Hope Road (Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre), on May 29. Now in its second year, Music for Life assists in raising funds and other items for children's homes.

Music for Life will serve as the catalyst for a campaign called 'Rescuing our Children' which was launched by the Lawman Lynch Foundation last year. The campaign aims to raise a substantial amount of money to provide for local basic schools in the inner city and also start a one-year feeding program for 100-150 children.

The Lawman Lynch Foundation has staged a number of seminars on parenting, youth and community development. There is also another major project, Pass on the Love, that the group works on each February. The project reaches out to shut-ins across marginalised communities in Kingston and St Andrew.

Music for Life tickets cost $1,000 for regular admission and $2,500 for VIP.
