What's the fuss about?

The Editor, Sir:

WHat's all this puritanical hollering and carrying on orchestrated by the Opposition in collusion with the press and its political agenda that has never supported Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) policies? This is plain hypocrisy and disingenuousness on the part of the groups and individual speakers calling for the prime minister's resignation.

The truth is, most speakers assume Christopher 'Dudus' Coke's guilt as a criminal without having a conviction. If I were the member of parliament for West Kingston and one of my supporters or opposition supporters came and asked me to help them legally out of a complex situation, such as the Dudus affair, I would lend a helping hand; that's part of my job as a representative for my constituency.

So what's the big deal? The prime minister has committed no wrongdoing resolving a complicated issue. Then again, I am a firm supporter of the JLP.

I am, etc.,
