Nothing cures a headache like good old Panadol.

But pain in any body part will have to contend with a new and improved version of the popular product. GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), already known for its innovation and production of quality goods for the consumer (Ribena, Lucozade, et al), have taken it to another level as they introduced the new Panadol Advance on Thursday, June 17. The awesome décor was accompanied by a laser-light display at the Hilton Kingston Jamaica hotel.

Models represented the various users who will find the product hard to resist. From the mom to the corporate executive, we all have those aches and pains. Panadol Advance (equipped with the formula Optizorb) is five times stronger than the original. Dr Orville Nembhard gave a little science lesson (get out the textbooks), showing just how more effective the new tablet is. That led then to demonstrations of the powerful new product and questions from the gathering. Everyone left satisfied that this was definitely the product.

So, what will GSK create next? Who knows, but as Panadol Advance showed, the future is here.
