Impertinent call
The Editor, Sir:
I think it is safe to conclude that the call of Councillor Desmond McKenzie of the Tivoli Gardens division for the heads of our national security forces to personally attend to answer questions of his and Bruce Golding's constituents is the wrongful and impertinent signing-off of a duty roster for these respected, respectable, honest and trusted public servants to attend duty at Tivoli Gardens.
I think the proper persons who should answer questions are Councillor McKenzie and the MP for Western Kingston who arrogantly continues to wear the hat of prime minister in the face of massive public outcry for him to resign. His conduct has attracted criminal investigation by the anti-corruption commission and the police, and which culminated in the deaths and sufferings of so many of our brothers and sisters.
I spent my formative years in Western Kingston where my grandfather, Azariah, had many small tenancy holdings and I lived, ate and otherwise mingled, playing a lot of dominoes, draft and card games and attending what was Tivoli Theatre with the tenants, treating them always as my friends and companions.
I am, etc.,
