Suspect identified in morgue killing

Though no motive had been established, police were yesterday pursuing a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of two morgue attendants in St Catherine.
"We have a suspect, but at the same time we are appealing to persons with information to call the police at 119, Crime Stop at 311, Kingfish 811 or the nearest police station," said Detective Superintendent Wilford Gayle, crime officer for Area 5.
Detectives attached to three police divisions - Clarendon, St Catherine North and St Catherine South - are collaborating on the investigation.
Reports are that the morgue attendants, Pearnel and Damion Watson, left May Pen in Clarendon on Monday night to respond to a request to pick up a body in Old Harbour, St Catherine. They never made it back home.
The hearse they drove to Old Harbour was yesterday recovered by the police at premises on St John's Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine. The bodies were located about two miles away.
Reports are that the men were found in the bushes of the Meadowrest community in St Catherine, clad in their company uniforms with their hands and feet bound.
