WESTERN BUREAU:

Flooding and heavy rains have damaged several vehicles between Long Hill and Reading in Montego Bay, St James, and caused injuries to at least three persons.

This was the latest news from the Montego Bay Fire Department yesterday afternoon.

"There are a number of vehicles damaged on Long Hill, between Long Hill and Reading, as a result of heavy rains," Dolfin Doeman, acting superintendent of the St James Fire Division, told The Gleaner.

Doeman added that the fire department had received reports of three people having been injured as a result of the heavy rains and flood waters.

However, he could not confirm the exact number of vehicles that had been damaged or the number of persons who had been affected, as his investigators were still on the ground collecting information.
