US Embassy fees to increase
The United States Embassy has announced an adjustment in the fees for some services.
The embassy said that on November 23, fees for certain United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) applications will increase by about 10 per cent. Any USCIS applications filed on or after that date must be accompanied by the new increased fee in order to be accepted as properly filed. Applications postmarked or personally submitted on or after November 23 will require the new fees. Any application submitted on or after the target date with the incorrect fee will be rejected as improperly filed, the embassy said.
The embassy emphasised that the new fees are not applicable for visa or consular services.
