A large oil refinery in Venezuela has been idled by a power outage, and could take another week to be back to full operation.
The state oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), says heavy rain and electrical storms are to blame.
PDVSA adds that the shutdown will not affect Venezuela's fuel shipments.
It says the Cardon refinery in western Falcon state was paralyzed by the outage Monday.
It adds that electricity should be restored soon and the refinery back to full operation within seven to 10 days.
The company says a similar electrical problem at the adjacent Amuay refinery has shut down some of its units, but workers are resolving the situation.
